There is few ways to assembly glassbocks. LIDREN is the producer EMDELUX and LUX-PROF systems for external and internal uses.

Here are a traditional way of assembling glassbloks and with EMDELUX system use.

1. anchor
2. steel profile U
3. elastic seal
4. dilatation weld
5. margin belt
6. reinforcement of margin belt
7. horizontal reinforcement
8. vertical reinforcement
9. joint
10. joint mix
11. glassblock
12. wall
13. expansion joint (dilatation)
14. parapet wall

To assembling glassblock, we use special glue mortar only. Assembling glassblock walls ought to be started from wall base.

The wall base ought to be reinforced by:
- 2 x o8 mm bars (min. 150 cm long)
- 2 x o6 mm bars (max. 150 cm long).
Bars are lying on two layers of bituminous paper (without sand) - slip gap.

Set the first course of glassblock with distance crosses. If first layer is perfect horizontally, put the mortar into spoin between glassblocks. A mortar ought to has semi-plastic consistence. Put the double reinforcement bars in cross joints – end of reinforcement ought to be joined with reinforcement of margin slat. Put the double reinforcement bars in cross joints – end of reinforcement ought to be joined with reinforcement of margin slat. As a ilustration shows, put a separate reinforcement bars alternately on external and internal side of wall. Bars should be join with a horizontal reinforcement by thin tie wire. Bottom end of reinforcement ought to be based in wall base, and upper end ought to finish in upper frame. The upper and bottom frames should be reinforcemed by bars or reinforcemed ledder, and have dilatations and Put a wool or foamed polystyrene to dilatation weld (20 mm). The slip gap could be made from one layer of bituminous paper (without sand). Remember to clean dirty glassblock surfaces currently. Additionally, you can use a colour joint, to get better colourous effect. To protect a construction from a moisture, put a silicon into gaps between margin slat and wall.

Maximum size of walls is:
3,0 x 3,0 m for external walls
3,0 x 4,0 m for internal walls (4,0 - horizontal)

When a surface is to large, we use resolve rib with dilatation.

We need a dimension horizontally connectors and margin slats (1). We screw a margin slats down to walls and floor – we use a especially screws (2). At the bottom of construction we use screws too, and also perforated sheet squares (3).
Set the course of glassblocks (4) with a vertical connector (5) between them. Connector ought to be upward by treenails. After the first layer, we put the horizontal connector (6) on the glassblocks. The holes of connector should join with treenails from vertical connector (7). After connector and treenails matching, we screw it by perforated sheet squares.
